Most courses hand you a data structure and a list of problems. We start a step earlier: with the real problem that forced someone to invent it. Why B-trees exist is a story about disks and databases. Once you know the story, you know when to reach for the tool.
How it works
- Start from zero. No programming background assumed. If you already know the basics, skip ahead.
- Origin first. Each topic opens with the problem that created it, then how it was solved, then where else it shows up.
- Practise to recognise. Labelled exercises first, then mixed problems with no labels, so you learn to spot which technique fits.
- See it move. Interactive visualisations for every structure and algorithm.
